Developing a strategy is not the problem. The problem is to implement it.
The majority of all strategies are not implemented.
When that happens instead of shaping tomorrow, you will find yourself in the same marketplace as your competitors. With the lowest price as the only thing that differentiates your business from your competitors.
If you want to break the pattern, you need to do something new.
Emotions prevents strategy implementation
Nobody develops a strategy with the intent of not implementing it.
When it happens anyway, you must look for the unconscious causes if you want to understand what prevents you from executing your plan.
My experience is that these unconscious causes are more about emotions than about reason.
My 5 beliefs on how to implement your strategy
1. Build Personal Driving Force
2. Build Competitive Edge
3. Build Strategy Structure
4. Build Action plan the heart and soul of your strategy
5. Build Natural Born Leadership

You need a New Mindset, if you want to implement your plan
- Don’t think that you have to be perfect. Implementing a strategy is a learning process.
- Don’t think that you have to be able to predict the future. Just comply with the agreements of the action plan.
- Don’t think that there is a rational explanation for everything. Look for the irrational causes when your implementation gets stuck.
- Don’t think that strategy implementation is a walk in the park. Have the courage to do what makes sense when things get unpleasant.
- Don’t think that you can’t make a difference. Your willpower to implement your strategy will get the job done.
